Any action by any user that, in Chat (UK)'s sole opinion, restricts or inhibits other customers from using and enjoying Chat (UK) (such as but not limited to committing illegal activities), is strictly prohibited. Transmission of material, information or software in violation of any local, state, or federal law is prohibited. Chat (UK) users specifically agree not to upload, post, or reproduce in any way any materials protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright holder. 

Neither Chat (UK), nor its owners or administrators are responsible for the material stored or transferred to/from Chat (UK). All illegal activities will result in the immediate termination of user privileges and possible criminal prosecution or civil action. Chat (UK) is not to be used for purposes contrary to National or International, or Local ordinances, regulations or statutes. Chat (UK) will fully co-operate with any Law Enforcement Agency in the investigation and prosecution of any crime involving Chat (UK)'s customers or its service. 

Spamming
It is contrary to Chat (UK) policy for any user of Chat (UK) services to affect or participate in any of the following activities through a Chat (UK) provided service. 

To send unsolicited mass direct messages/dcc's/whispers/emailings to more than twenty-five (25) email users, if such unsolicited emailings provoke complaints from the recipients. 
To post a single article or advertisement to more than ten (10) Usenet or other newsgroups, forums, email mailing lists or similar groups or lists. 
To falsify user information provided to Chat (UK) or to other users of our services in connection with use of a Chat (UK) service. 
To "hack" or knowingly access a Chat (UK) computer without authorization or exceeding authorized access or attempting to gain access to or modify any other user's account. 

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT, YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATELY END YOUR USE OF Chat (UK) SERVICES AND NOTIFY Chat (UK) SO THAT Chat (UK) MAY INITIATE A CLOSURE OF YOUR ACCOUNT.
IRC Legal Policies 

Chat (UK) provides electronic avenues for user chat and is neither responsible for content nor does Chat (UK) have any duty to censor it. Chat (UK) IRC is in no way liable for content and we will work with the appropriate authorities in resolving any legal issues brought to our attention. Such incidents or evidence will be forwarded to the appropriate ISP's and local, state or national law enforcement agencies. 

Disclaimer
Views expressed by our IRC users are not necessarily Chat (UK)'s views. IRC users must remember that channels that can be viewed as illegal (either the channel name or its content), are in fact NOT illegal. Remember, talking about a thing and doing a thing are completely different. Chat (UK) does not condone nor will it censor such material that could be construed as illegal. 

Channels that have been registered with our channel service bot, Q, are not channels that we support. Q, just as IRC, is a service that we offer to our users and in no way do we attempt to censor. We will register any channel request without exception regardless of whether the channel in question can be viewed as illegal or not. We are not held liable for any channel's name or content that we register. 


General IRC Policies 
Chat (UK) IRC does not support the use of bots or any automated non-user connections to our IRC network, One friendly bot per user is acceptable. However we reserve the right to disconnect such connections at any time. Chat (UK) will NOT tolorate flooding, badgering or any activity viewed as destructive to Chat (UK) IRC or its users/operators. Activities will be dealt with on an individual basis.
